Jesus hanging on the cross

Today's Bible Study Lesson

"Die Already"

First off: What a subtitle! There is a term in Prophetic Training we call "Die Already"John 19:31-34, 'When the soldiers came to Jesus to break his legs to hasten his death, they found that he was already dead, so they pierced his side with a spear but did not break his legs.' One of the reasons God journeys us through the wilderness is so that we can "die already". When we die, only then can he live. Only then can his words come out with power and with an 'anointing.' The trauma and agony of the "death process"  is designed to produce an authentic voice  and not an echo, one that powers and principalities can reckon with. Acts 19:15 'Jesus I know, and Paul I know about, but who are you.'

John 12:24.'Very truly I tell you, unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds.' So my question to you today beloved; are you "dead" or fully "alive"?.  Who is on the throne of your life, 'Spirit or Flesh?'. You will know that you are dead when what used to have an upper hand does not. When you can respond to your critics, you are not dead!. If you have to give your boss a piece of your mind, you are not dead!. When someone steps on you and you step back at their toes, you are not dead HENCE you are not ready! God may leave you in the wilderness until you get the "point". Once you are dead, then and only then can he live through you. John 15:2. He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful.

The painful death process is what produces " the character and nature of Christ" of which I am not there yet, I am in hot pursuit. Consequently, Out of me 'dying' and Jesus 'living' I have seen many people saved, healed and delivered; but I'm yet striving everyday. I'm not 'there' yet, but it starts with you and I dying daily, taking up our cross and following Jesus so we can bear much more fruit. Mathew 10:38. Now, allow me to interject here and say, if you discern that it is the enemy of your soul behind your set of circumstances, without a doubt, get your sword and fight. However, if your death process is God engineered, you must go through it; turn the other cheek. Mathew 5:38.

This year, the Lord wants us to bear "more fruit", but it starts with us yielding our heart so Christ can live in us and through us. So I pray for you as I pray for myself. I pray that you will recognize those moments when God is driving "in" the nails, not because he is trying to kill you and I, but because he wants to live through you and I. If you are in any wilderness, take heart in knowing that God has great things ahead: he is getting your "heart" ready. Recognize the nails and "die already." Don't fight the nails; better yet embrace the crucible.

Beloved: To live, we must first die to our flesh and the things of this world!

Prayer Points Today Beloved:

Lord, teach me to be more like you Jesus; not my will but thine be done for your glory.

Lord, I want to bear more fruit this year for your glory.

Lord, please mold me and make me an honorable vessel fit for the masters use for your glory.
